Determine your eligibility for a Canadian Citizenship for Adults

Eligibility Requirements:

1) Permanent Resident Status

Applicants must have permanent resident status in Canada and hold a valid PR card at the time of application.

2) Age

Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.

3) Residency

Applicants must have been physically present in Canada for at least 1,460 days (four years) in the six years immediately before the date of their application. There are exceptions for time spent abroad for certain reasons, such as working for a Canadian employer or accompanying a Canadian spouse or partner.

4) Language Skills

Applicants must demonstrate a basic knowledge of English or French, Canada's two official languages. This can be done by providing evidence of language proficiency, such as a language test.

5) Knowledge of Canada

Applicants must demonstrate knowledge of Canada's history, geography, political system, and values, as well as the rights and responsibilities of Canadian citizenship. This can be done by taking the Canadian citizenship test.

3) Application package assembly and government filing

We will mail your completed application package to you for application signing. We provide a self addressed envelope you can use to mail your application to the IRCC for filing. We will help you respond to any questions the government has about your application after you submit your application.

How much does this service cost?

Canadian First application package service for Renewing a Resident Card is $145. This rate covers your application package preparation. If you want a lawyer to review your completed application, you can purchase a lawyer review and consultation for an additional $149. Additional applicable government fees are not included. If your application is denied by the IRCC, we will refund you 100% of our application preparation fees.
